Scattered around the island are a bunch of floating red talismans, and shooting one with your bow will replenish some of your stamina gauge and if you're sprinting while you shoot one, you'll also gain a burst of speed. Your walking speed is incredibly slow (at least in relation to the size of the map), and your ability to sprint is very limited on its own. Speaking of travel, the whole game's design is built around a rather interesting movement system. Nothing revolutionary, but the experience would be far more boring without them breaking up the travel sections. The puzzles themselves are pretty good-not too easy and not too hard, with plenty of clever iterations on otherwise simple mechanics.

You're not given explicit instructions on how to solve any of these puzzles, or told what kinds of puzzles there are, and sometimes there's no clear indication that something even is a puzzle, so you'll need to have a keen eye and be willing to mess around with anything that looks unusual.
These locations hold self-contained puzzles in varying forms, some rewarding you with the lightstones you need to progress while others offer crystals that improve your eagle's ability to fly. There's no minimap to tell you where to go, asking you instead to rely on a skill called "Spirit Vision" that will reveal hidden objects and highlight locations of interest on the map. The core gameplay loop is the same in each one: explore a vast open area in search of lightstones to restore power to three obelisks that will weaken the corrupted god in that area, giving you the opportunity to defeat them in combat and release them from their curse. The only threat you face is underwhelming, the bosses can be a chore, and it's rather pricey for only 9-13 hours of content but if you want a novel take on the open-world genre, give it a try next time it goes on sale.
